As a young girl of eleven, I was introduced to my baking world by my Mom...but not in the usual way. No, my Mom was not a baker (not in any sense), but she did have a wicked sweet tooth. From that first bag of chocolate chips she handed me, to the thousands of cookies, bars, cupcakes, muffins and whoopie pies I've baked through the years, the passion she helped create led me to realizing my dream of opening sugar me sweet bakers... thanks Mom!

snickerdoodles
Some people (unlike myself!) do not like cookies filled with stuff...stuff like nuts, chocolate chips, m&m's, well...you get the idea. They like plain, simple, no mess, easy to eat cookies. That's what a Snickerdoodle is...a plain sugar cookie that's been rolled in cinnamon and sugar and has a crackly or crinkly top. But, don't let the 'plain' part fool you. These cookies still pack a punch of flavor. And, the buttery cinnamon dough makes it hard to resist sneaking a nibble before baking!
